Mixology is the art of carefully curating individual ingredients into a symphonic whole—not entirely unlike the art of collage.
So when Coca-Cola approached Pharus about branding its new line of alcoholic Schweppes products for the Brazilian market, the team started cutting and pasting. Literally. They dove headfirst into experimentation, collaging, exploring sensory concepts, mixing materials and photography techniques while conducting research with artisan mixologists.
And the sum toll of their alchemy was a success: They emerged with a beautiful package that honors Schweppes’ signature “sash” while building a visual language around its movement and cues. Alongside A-2’s Monday typeface and a skillful deployment of color, the package pays tribute to the past while looking firmly forward.
An unexpected design that manages to surprise with its details—not entirely unlike the best collage work, either.
